Electrosmog is a system which draws a picture of the electromagnetic radiation in a specific space. Using an array of antennas and ultra-wideband radio receivers, the system scans continuously 480 000 radio-frequencies from 0.01 MHz to 3300 MHz. The idea is to build a portable system suitable for various environments and locations to monitor the radio-frequencies presence and strength.
Nowadays the radio-frequency spectrum is so vast that numerous technologies must be used to draw the picture. From the low frequency perturbations induced by the power grid to the microwave emissions from personal devices, the spectrum becomes an occupied territory.
